ALLENDALE, MICH. – The Grand Valley State women's golf team will tee off in NCAA East Regional play Monday morning, playing the first of three rounds at the Findlay Country Club.

Findlay Country Club will be the site of this week's 54-hole event. Due to weather, 36 holes will be played on Monday, with the remaining 18 to be played at some point over Tuesday and Wednesday. 18 teams will compete to move on the Nationals, with the top four spots guaranteed to advance to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida for the National Championships. There are five top 40 teams in the country as part of the field. Findlay is the top ranked team, coming in at number four nationally. The Lakers rank 18
th in the country, with UIndy (19
th), UMSL (30
th), and Ferris State (33
rd) all ranked as well.
Playing for the Lakers this week will be

Rachael Krieger, and
Heida Rafnsdottir.
June Hsiao will be the team's substitute, able to enter the lineup after the end of a round and take a spot. GVSU will be teeing off Monday morning at 9:00, paired with Findlay, UIndy, and UMSL.
Grand Valley State is the reigning East Regional champions, taking the crown on their home course last year. They have won eight regional titles in program history, and they will be looking to advance to Nationals for the 10
th consecutive season.
