Lakers Lead Ken Partridge Invitational

NOBLESVILLE, IND. – The Grand Valley State men's golf team began their final regular season tournament, playing in the Ken Partridge Invitational. Originally scheduled as a three-day event, the tournament was moved to two 27-hole days due to weather on Tuesday. After Sunday's opening day, the Lakers are in control, leading by 12 strokes.
 
Results
 
Grand Valley State ended the day at seven under, shooting five under in the opening round, then they were at two under through the first half of round two. Ferris State was second with a score of +5, followed by Northwood at +9. Rockhurst was one stroke back in fourth, with Tiffin in fifth, shooting +11.
 
Manuel Cue leads the field, shooting -4 today. Ryan Gallagher is tied for fourth at -1, with Bryce Wheeler shooting even par to end in a tie for sixth. In a tie for ninth is Murphy Kehoe, who ends at +1. Finley Dober and Andrew Gwilliams are tied for 12th at two over par, while Charlie Cooley is one shot back of them in a tie for 16th. Maverick Conaway is tied for 47th at +7.
 
The Lakers will finish the second half of round two, before teeing off in the final round immediately after.
