#8 Grand Valley State will host Purdue Northwest in the home and GLIAC opener for the Lakers. GVSU has played 10 true road games (7-3) and 14 neutral site games (13-10). In addition, GVSU has been the visitors in 18 games. Purdue Northwest is 7-11 overall and 1-3 in GLIAC action.

° The four starting GVSU pitchers tallied an ERA of 0.00 last weekend in Daytona Beach. They yielded 0 ER and 18 hits in 25 innings. They also recorded 19 strikeouts and walked just three.
  
° GVSU has scored 38 runs in the first inning this season and are 19-2 when scoring first. 

° Freshman DH Kaden Howard has reached base in all 21 of the games he has played, while RF Ryan Stimac has reached base in all 16 games he has played. 
 
° Senior SS Evan Morrison ranks fourth in the nation in batting average (.486), seventh in hits (51) and 11th in runs scored (44). Morrison has hit safely in all 24 games, has 15 multi-hit games, including three 4-hit games. Morrison has reached base in 78-of-81 games played for the Lakers.

° Junior 3B Caleb Estrada is hitting .386 with 39 hits, 32 runs scored, 34 RBI and a team-best eight home runs. Estrada has 12 multi-hit games, 10 multi-RBI games, a current 15-game hitting streak and a current 22-game reached base streak. 

° Senior 1B Jovan Gill is hitting .305 with 29 hits, eight doubles and a GLIAC-best 37 RBI. Gill has 10 multi-hit games and 10 multi-RBI games. Gill enters today's game with 99 career RBI.

° Senior 2B Ayden VanEnkevort enters today's game with 99 RBI and 148 hits.
