ALLENDALE, Mich. – Grand Valley State track and field is on the road again as they compete at three meets beginning tomorrow, March 26. Through Saturday, March 28, Lakers compete at the adidas Raleigh Relays (NC State – Raleigh, N.C.), ESU Spring Open (Emporia State – Emporia, Ks.) and the adidas Trojan Challenge (Mount Olive – Mount Olive, N.C.).

Seventy five athletes will compete over three days of the Raleigh Relays. GVSU athletes will compete in seven events on day one: women's (

The majority of GVSU's women take the track on Friday in Raleigh, as seven hours of the day consist of women's distance races. Preceding the distance events are the women's 100m hurdles (

Sophia Snellenberger begins the day at 10 a.m. in women's discus while
Braden Prielipp and
Alexis Weber follow in high jump at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., respectively.
Isaac Tavo,
Bennett VandenBerg and
Garrett Weeden close out Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. in men's discus.
Saturday is a light day in Raleigh for the Lakers:

Colin MacGregor, Vanderschaaf). Sandwiched in between the mid-distance races are the 400m hurdles (

Lance Riddle) and 200m (Balenda, Demarcus Chapa, Coyle, Guckenberger, Hamilton II, Harris, Liang, Page).

Just the pole vault squad competes in Emporia on Friday.

Sam Paeth and Cam Battjes will represent the Laker men and
Brooke Bowers and
Shaylee McCain compete for the women. The women begin competition at 12 p.m. and the men will follow.
adidas Trojan Challenge – Mount Olive, N.C.
Several of those competing at the adidas Raleigh Relays will also compete at the adidas Trojan Challenge at Mount Olive. The one-day meet will showcase GVSU athletes competing in shot put, discus, women's hammer, 100m and 110m hurdles, women's 400m hurdles and the men's 200m dash.
Women's hammer begins the day at 10:30 a.m., featuring GVSU athletes
Sofiabella Amirante,
Kennedy Jackson, Snellenberger and Stinson.
The next two events to commence are the women's 100m hurdles (Barnett,
Kennedy Gardner,
Brooklyn Harmon) and women's shot put (Amirante, Jackson, Lahti), with the men's 110m hurdles (Campbell, Downes, Hayward, Hurt,
Sam Mitas) and men's shot put (Berryhill, Capaccio, Tavo, Weeden) proceeding. Men's discus begins shortly after, with Tavo, VandenBerg and Weeden throwing at approximately 2 p.m. Snellenberger and Westra follow the men in the women's event.
GVSU's final events at Mount Olive are the women's 400m hurdles (Gardner, Harmon) and the men's 200m dash (Mitas).
