#8 Grand Valley State claimed a 6-0 shutout victory over Wayne State Friday night in GLIAC Tournament second-round action. The Lakers, now 41-10, will face Davenport on Saturday at 11 am at Jackson Field in Lansing, Michigan. GVSU is 20-1 in its last 21 games and improved to 58-19 all-time in GLIAC Tournament action, including a 13-4 mark at Jackson Field. The Lakers have a GLIAC-best 12 tournament titles.

Collin Bradley (7-2) was sensational, throwing eight shutout innings, yielding just three hits with 7 strikeouts. He retired the first batter in each of his eight innings pitched and allowed just one runner past second. Senior

Caleb Estrada then came through with a single to right to plate VanEnkevort and give the Lakers all the runs they needed. Â

Ryan Dykstra singled to open the third inning and DH
Jonas Gulbrandsen followed with a single to left. A wild pitch advanced the runners and Guciardo singled to center on a 1-2 pitch to plate Dykstra. VanEnkevort plated Gulbrandsen with a sac fly to center to give the Lakers a 4-0 lead.Â

Evan Morrison and Dykstra walked with two outs in the fourth and 1B
Jovan Gill singled to right to score Morrison and up the lead to 5-0.Â
Gulbrandsen greeted a new Wayne State pitcher with a single to left to open the bottom of the fifth and advanced to second on an error by the left fielder. A wild pitch moved Gulbrandsen to third and VanEnkevort plated Gulbrandsen with a groundout.
VanEnkevort was 1-3 with two RBIs and a run scored, while Dykstra, Gulbrandsen, Guciardo and Stimac each collected two hits in the 13-hit attack. Gill, Guciardo, Stimac and Estrada each drove in a run. Stimac provided the only extra-base hit for the Lakers with a double in seventh.Â
