Davenport claimed a 6-5 victory over Grand Valley State Saturday, scoring two runs in the bottom of the tenth. The Lakers will face the winner of the Saginaw Valley State – Wayne State game at 7 p.m. The winning run was a controversial hit batter that was originally just a wild pitch, but after grouping together it was determined by the field umps it was a hit batter over the plate ump.
Davenport scored three runs in the fourth and tied it bottom of the ninth with a run.

Will Goebel induced a fly out and strikeout to end the threat and the inning.

Zach Warren and third on a wild pitch. Guciardo came through once again with a 9-pitch at bat that resulted in a sac fly that scored Gill.
Stimac and Gill each collected three hits for the Lakers.
