#14 Grand Valley State, the #2 seed in the NCAA DII Midwest Regional, will face #7 seeded Missouri S&T (32-23) at 11 am in a first-round contest Thursday. The Miners lead the all-time series by a 3-1 margin, with the last meeting coming in the 2016 NCAA Tournament. GVSU dropped a 2-1 decision in Quincy, Ill. The Lakers are 21-4 in the last 25 games. GVSU appeared in the 2024 tournament, but dropped the opening two games. GVSU is making its 19th NCAA DII Tournament appearance in program history and hosting for the fourth time. The Lakers have hosted two four-team regionals in Allendale (2003, 2006) and hosted a six-team regional in Normal, Illinois in 2011. The Lakers are 46-39 all-time in NCAA postseason action, including a 37-28 mark in regional action with six regional crowns.
