MIDLAND, Mich. – The Grand Valley State women's tennis team dominated Ferris State 4-0 in the GLIAC Semifinals Saturday (April 26) afternoon. The Lakers improve to 14-4 on the season.
GVSU claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.
Neus Ramos and
Vale Mozas claimed a 6-2 win at the top doubles position.
Estefania Hernandez and
Rachel Sam posted a dominate 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles.
In singles action,
Vale Mozas claimed a 6-3, 6-2 straight set win at No. 2 singles.
Estefania Hernandez posted a 6-3, 6-1 straight set win at No. 4 singles.
Ipek Sakiroglu earned a 6-2, 6-2 straight set win at No. 5 singles.
GVSU advances to the GLIAC Championship match where they will face Wayne State Sunday (April 27) afternoon. First serve is set for 4:00 PM in Midland, Michigan.
