**Grand Valley State will honor 11 seniors prior to Saturday's game at approximately 11:30 am**

#9 Grand Valley State will host GLIAC foe Wayne State in a weekend four-game series starting Thursday at 3 p.m. The Lakers (28-9; 11-5) and Warriors (18-18; 7-4) currently stand second and third in the GLIAC standings. 

GVSU bolsters one of the top lineups in the GLIAC, while the pitching staff leads the league in earned run average (3.43). A balanced attack 1-9 in the batting order has been a key for the Lakers. LF Ryan Dykstra (.356, 13 2B, 6 HR, 30 RBI), 1B Jonas Gulbrandsen (.348, 10 HR, 9 2B, 41 RBI), SS Evan Morrison (.338, 10 2B, 25 RBI), C Brendan Guciardo (.336, 7 2B) and 2B Ayden VanEnkevort (.330, 24 RBI). CF Caden Thelen, the GLIAC Player of the Week, is hitting .441 with three doubles and three triples since being inserted into the lineup. RHP Collin Bradley (4-2, 1.98 ERA), RHP Jayden Denter (7-0, 2.57 ERA), RHP Owen Avery (4-2, 2.95 ERA) and LHP Allan Thorington (4-0, 3.12) will toe the rubber as starters.  

Wayne State is led by a veteran crew in the field, but gone is one of the top pitching staffs in the Midwest over the last four years. Wayne State returns INF Bennett Hitzelberger (.368, 12 2B, 28 RBI), INF Mason McGuire (.348, 7 2B, 20 RBI), CF Jacoby Dale (.333, 17 RBI), 1B Owen Tuccinardi (.309, 30 RBI), INF Tony Hatzigeorgiou (.255, 7 2B) and OF Drew Hill (.241, 9 2B, 4 HR) lead the way offensively. Will DeMasse and Gabe Nazelli have logged the most innings in GLIAC action.
