COLUMBUS, OHIO – The GVSU women's golf team teed off in their final event of the regular season, playing at the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational. In an event featuring 11 Division I teams, the Lakers are in ninth.

Host Ohio State leads the pack at nine over, followed by Kent State in second, with a score of +15. In third is Michigan State at +16, with Rutgers in fourth, carding a +34. Indiana finished the day in fifth, tallying a score of +35. GVSU is in ninth, shooting +50 today.
 
Olivia Stoll had a strong opening day, ending in a tie for seventh. She shot rounds of 71 (-1) and 77 (+5), making eight birdies and an eagle to end at +4. Paula Badino and Rachael Krieger are both tied for 39^th, finishing at +15. Badino carded and 80 (+8) and a 79 (+7) with two birdies, while Krieger also shot an 80 and a 79. Julia Sanchez was tied for 44^th. Sanchez shot rounds of 78 (+6) and 82 (+10) with one birdie, closing the day in a tie for 40^th at +16.
 
The Lakers play the final round tomorrow, finishing off their regular season schedule.
