FARMINGTON, PENN. – The Grand Valley State women's golf team teed off in their final tournament of the fall season, playing at the Nemacolin Intercollegiate. After completing the first round, the second round was suspended due to darkness, ending with GVSU atop the scoreboard.
Results
The Lakers finished day one at +22, leading by nine strokes. In second is North Georgia at +35, with UIndy in third, shooting +41. UMSL is fourth at +47 and Findlay is fifth, carding a +49.
June Hsiao is tied for first after the opening day, sinking seven birdies to end at one over. In a tie for sixth at +9 is
Lea Stotz, who made four birdies.
Rachael Krieger is tied for eighth, making five birdies to finish at +10. Making four birdies on the day was
Charlotte Goersch, who ended in a tie for 15
th at +12.
Heida Rafnsdottir is tied for 17
th at +13, as she made two birdies today.
The Lakers will complete round two, then tee off for the final round starting tomorrow morning.
