FINDLAY, OHIO – The Grand Valley State women's golf team completed their first tournament of October, finishing in second at the William Beall Fall Classic.

Findlay won their home tournament by 14 strokes, finishing at +30. The Lakers were second at +44, their third runner-up finish of the fall. UIndy came in third, carding a +47, followed by Tampa in fourth at +59, and Ferris State rounded out the top five at +61.
 
Lea Stotz finished in third, carding a final round of 72 (E), making two birdies to end at four over. In sixth, was June Hsiao at +8, as she made one birdie in her third round of 75 (+3). Charlotte Goersch finished tied for 10^th, shooting +13, as she had a final round of 78 (+6) with two birdies. Rachael Krieger shot a final round of 80 (+8) to end in a tie for 37^th at +22. Heida Rafnsdottir was tied for 45^th at +24, sinking one birdie in her final round of 84 (+12). Also shooting an 84 was Evelyn Park, who finished tied for 59^th at +12.
 
Up Next
The Lakers are off for two weeks, before playing in their final event of the fall, the Intercollegiate at Nemacolin. The two day event will be played on October 20^th and 21^st in Farmington, Pennsylvania.
