Men's Golf Ends In Fourth At Tennessee River Rumble

LENOIR CITY, TENN. – The GVSU men's golf team finished off their time in Tennessee, rising a couple of spots over the final day to end in fourth at the Tennessee River Rumble.

Host Lincoln Memorial took the win, holding off North Georgia in the final round to finish at +6. UNG was one shot back of the Railsplitters, ending at seven over. Lenoir-Rhyne came in third at +14, with the Lakers one shot back of them in fourth. Wingate rounded out the top five, ending at +16.
 
Drew Coble was the top finisher for the Lakers, carding a final round of 73 (+1), making two birdies at end in a tie for seventh at +1. Bryce Wheeler ended in a tie for 11th, making three birdies and an eagle in his final round of 74 (+2). In a tie for 30th was Ryan Gallagher, sinking three birdies in his final round of 74 to end the tournament with a score of six over. Manuel Cue Vargas carded a final round of 74, making three birdies, to end in a tie for 41st at +8. Charlie Cooley was tied for 61st at +12, shooting a 75 (+3) with two birdies to close out his event.
 
Up Next
The Lakers are off until April 6th, when they will travel to Indianapolis for the Ken Partridge Invitational, their final event of the regular season.
