Men's Golf in Sixth After Round One Down In Tennessee

LENOIR CITY, TENN. – The GVSU men's golf team was down in the Volunteer State for the Tennessee River Rumble. The Lakers completed one full round and most of the second round today, ending in sixth place.

Lenoir-Rhyne leads the tournament after the opening day of the event, ending the day at -5. Wingate was three shots back, sitting at -3, followed by host LMU at one over. North Georgia was in fourth at +4, in front of Anderson at +5 in fifth. The Lakers were in sixth at +6 to end the day.
 
Bryce Wheeler leads the way for GVSU, ending in a tie for eighth at -1. Drew Coble is in a tie at 22nd at one over, with Manuel Cue Vargas in tie for 28th at two over. Ryan Gallagher is tied 41st with a score of +4 and Charlie Cooley ended at +8 to finish in a tie for 71st.
 
The Lakers will finish out round two then complete the third round tomorrow to end their time in Tennessee.
