Box Score 2 Grand Valley State split a non-conference doubleheader with Findlay Friday afternoon in Cincinnati, Ohio at Hayden Field on the campus of Xavier University. The Lakers came back and won the nightcap, 5-4, in six innings after falling 16-2 in game one. Game two was shortened due to darkness.

Ryan Dykstra hit a solo home run in the top of the first, but Findlay scored one in the bottom half of the first and three more in the bottom of the second. RF
Jonas Gulbrandsen plated a run with a sac fly in the top of the third and 3B
Caleb Estrada scored CF
Ayden VanEnkevort in the top of the fourth with a single. VanEnkevort opened the inning with a single. The Lakers added two runs in the top of the sixth to take a 5-4 lead. 2B
Zach Warren singled and VanEnkevort walked. 1B
Carter Rohman executed a sac but to advance the runners and Estrada provided the game-winning single to score both runners.
Junior pitcher
Collin Bradley picked up the win on the mound in relief, yielding just one hit with six strikeouts in 3.0 innings of shutout baseball.
Jayden Dentler got the start on the hill, but was not involved in the decision. Dentler gave up four runs, one of which was earned, in three innings of work.

Saturday's doubleheader with Tiffin has been cancelled due to expected inclement weather Saturday and Sunday. No make-up date has been scheduled at this time.
