ALLENDALE, Mich,- Katie Lange and Sage Mortimer each claimed the 2025 All-Star Classic Championship in their respective weight classes.

The All-Star Classic is a premier collegiate wrestling event that showcases top male and female wrestlers from around the country. The event features 10 highly ranked Division I folkstyle matchups, along with four cross-divisional women's freestyle matches. Many high-profile athletes, including national champions and All-Americans, compete in the event.

No. 1 Katie Lange faced No. 1 Zaynah McBryde of Life University in the 138-pound weight class. Lange took a 4-0 lead in the first period and stayed consistent. In the second period, Lange scored seven more points while McBryde added three, giving Lange an 11-3 victory.

No. 1 Sage Mortimer competed in the 117-pound weight class against No. 1 Salyna Shotwell, also of Life University. Mortimer scored two points in the first period. Shotwell tied the match in the second period, but Mortimer responded with four points to secure a 6-2 win as time expired.
