ALLENDALE, Mich. – Grand Valley State cross country will close out the regular season at this weekend's Bradley Pink Classic. Thirty eight Lakers will compete on Friday, October 17 across four races. The men's 8k white division race kicks off at 12 p.m. CST, followed by the women's 6k white at 12:45 p.m., the men's 8k red invite at 1:30 p.m. and finally the women's 6k red invite at 2:15 p.m.

Twelve men and eight women are slated to compete in the open divisions of the Classic. Leading the men in the open division is freshman Will Engbers, who clocked a 25:13.1 finish to win the individual title at last week's Muskegon Jayhawk Invite. The women are led by redshirt-sophomore Katrina Sandman with a personal-best 22:49.8 finish recorded at her first race of the season – the Spartan Invitational.
 
The invite-only sections of the race follow the open divisions. Iain Forrest, a redshirt-freshman, leads the Lakers in the men's red division with an 8k finish at 24:38.2 at this season's Spartan Invitational. The women are led by redshirt-sophomore Megan Postma's 22:06.4 time, also recorded at the Spartan Invitational. Ten men and 10 women are slated to compete for Grand Valley State in the red division races.
