IOWA CITY, Iowa.- The Lakers faced the University of Iowa at the Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Saturday night, January 18th, 2025. The event drew an attendance of 4,054 fans. In the women's wrestling competition, Iowa's team fought hard but ultimately fell short, losing 7-35.
"It was a great opportunity to wrestle at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. We got to experience a lot of different energy. I thought we had a handful of women who went out there and competed really hard and battled and fought for us." stated Head Coach Jake Short.
"We have work to do and so we're right back to the drawing board. Gotta get ready for March. You know there's no step backwards. We're just gonna take that and collect data and move forward." added Coach Short.
