Men's Golf Up to Third at Folds of Honor Challenge

ALLENDALE, MICH. – The GVSU men's golf team climbed up two spots on day two of the Folds of Honor Challenge to end the day in third. With one round to play, the Lakers are seven strokes back of the lead.
 
Results
 
Aurora continues to hold the lead at six over as they shot a +5 today. Mississippi Gulf Coast remains in second at +11, with GVSU right on their heels at +13. The Lakers shot even par today to make up five strokes on Aurora and rise to third. Illinois Wesleyan is fourth at +16, followed by West Texas A&M in fifth at twenty-four over.
 
Drew Coble has risen to second overall following his round of 68 (-3). He made four birdies and sits at -2 overall, four strokes back of the lead. Manuel Cue Vargas is in ninth at four over par. With his round of 70 (-1) he made five birdies as he jumped up 10 spots. Charlie Cooley is right behind him in 10th at +5, as he carded a round of 71(E) with four birdies. Following his round of 75 (+4), Andrew Gwilliams is in 13th at six over. Jan Eckhard shot a 75 with three birdies to finish in a tie for 24th at +10. In a tie for 28th is Bryce Wheeler at +12, as he made two birdies in his round of 75. Murphy Kehoe is tied for 30th at +13, shooting a round of 75 with two birdies.
