Drew Coble Remains in the Top Five as Men's Golf Closes out Round Two at Folds of Honor

GRAND HAVEN, MICH. – The GVSU men's golf completed round two at the Folds of Honor Collegiate. The Lakers fell to 11th, but Drew Coble remains in the top five heading into tomorrow's final round.

Alabama continues to lead the way, up one stroke, sitting at -5 after two rounds. Illinois is in second, just one stroke back at four under. Notre Dame is in third at two over, followed by Michigan State in fourth at three over. Rounding out the top five is Texas, who is at five over after day two. GVSU is in 11th at +30.
 
Drew Coble is still near the top of the leaderboard, ending round two in a tie for fifth at -2. Coble birdied three holes today to shoot even par for the day. In a tie for 44th is Andrew Gwilliams, as he shot a 77 (+9) today, making four birdies to end at +10. Charlie Cooley is tied for 52nd at +12, as he carded a round of 76 (+5) today, sinking one birdie. Manuel Cue Vargas made two birdies in his round of 81 (+10), as he ended at +14 in a tie for 59th. Bryce Wheeler finished the day in a tie for 65th at +15, as he shot a round of 83 (+12) with one birdie.
 
The Lakers tee off the final round of the event tomorrow at 12:27, as they will play with Navy and Kentucky.
