MIDLAND, Mich. – The Grand Valley State women's tennis team fell 4-0 against Wayne State in the GLIAC Championship Sunday (Apr. 28) morning. The Lakers fall to 13-9 on the season and will wait to hear their seeding in the NCAA Tournament.
Wayne State claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
Taylor Barrett and
Neus Ramos tallied a 6-1 win at the top doubles position.
Estefania Hernandez and
Vale Mozas dropped a tough 6-7 decision at No. 3 doubles.
Vasileia Griva and
Rachel Sam fell 1-6 at No. 2 doubles.
In singles action,
Vasileia Griva dropped a tough 2-6, 3-6 decision at the top singles position.
Taylor Barrett lost a 3-6, 4-6 decision at No. 2 singles.
