Box Score LA MIRADA, Calif. – The Grand Valley State men's tennis team defeated Biola on the road 4-3 Tuesday (Mar. 3) night. The Lakers improved to 7-4 on the season.
 
GVSU claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Sean Miller and Freddy Cossio tallied a 6-2 win at the top doubles position. Chimo Minguez and Jorge Ruiz recorded a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles.
 
In singles action, Denys Zamaraiev claimed a 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 three-set win at the top singles position. Chimo Minguez tallied 6-1, 6-2 straight set win at No. 6 singles. Lucas Gonzalez added a 6-2, 3-2 retired victory at No. 4 singles. 
 
The Lakers will close out their trip to California on Thursday (Mar. 7) when they travel to face Concordia Irvine. First serve is set for 12:00 PM ET.
