Men’s Tennis Falls at Ferris State Saturday

Box Score BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – The Grand Valley State men's tennis fell 7-0 at Ferris State Saturday (Mar. 30) afternoon in Big Rapids. The Lakers fall to 11-5 on the season.
 
Ferris State claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Stephen Claassen and Lawrence Ivanov tallied a 6-2 win at No. 3 singles. Victor Lopes and Freddy Cossio lost 6-3 at the top doubles position, while Jorge Ruiz and Chimo Minguez dropped a 6-4 decision at No. 2 doubles.
 
In singles action, Denys Zamaraiev dropped a tough 5-7, 6-1, 3-6 three-set decision at the top singles decision. Lucas Gonzalez fell 6-2, 0-6, 4-6 in three sets at No. 2 singles. Victor Lopes dropped a 4-6, 2-6 decision at No. 3 singles. Chimo Minguez lost 5-7, 1-6 at No. 4 singles. Jorge Ruiz dropped a 2-6, 4-6 decision at No. 5 singles, while Stephen Claassen fell 1-6, 3-6 at No. 6 singles. 
 
The Lakers will be back on the court on April 12th when they travel to face Wayne State. First serve is set for 10:00 AM IN Detroit.
