Grand Valley State athletics, in conjunction with WXSP-TV and the NCAA announced that the NCAA DII women's basketball Midwest Regional Championship game between Grand Valley State and Ferris State set for Monday (Mar. 18) at 7:05 p.m. will be televised live in the local Grand Rapids area. WXSP is channel 15 over-the-air locally, but the channel could vary depending on cable or satellite systems.
Grand Valley State is the top seed and hosting the Midwest Regional championship game at the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena. Tickets are available on line at

or by calling the GVSU Athletics general ticket office at (616) 331-3200. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets early Monday moring to ensure a seat into the game. In addition,
HUDL, the video provider for the NCAA will air the game live.
#1-seeded GVSU, 31-2 overall and the three-time defending GLIAC Champions, claimed a 63-35 victory over Trevecca Nazarene in the opening round, followed by a 72-44 win over Northern Michigan in a semifinal matchup. It marked the third time in 15 days that the Lakers had played the Wildcats.
#3-seeded Ferris State, 24-5 overall on the year, claimed a 75-53 victory over Lewis in the opening round, then defeated #2-seeded and defending National Champion Ashland by a 64-59 score in a semifinal meeting.
The winner of this Sweet Sixteen matchup will advance to the Elite Eight in St. Joseph, Missouri at the St. Joseph Civic Center March 25-29.
