INDIANAPOLIS – The Grand Valley State women's tennis team fell to Indianapolis 7-0 Saturday (Feb. 3) in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Lakers fall to 2-1 on the season.
Indianapolis claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.
Vasileia Griva and
Rachel Sam claimed a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles, going 2-0 on the weekend.
Taylor Barrett and
Neus Ramos dropped a tough 6-3 decision at the top doubles position.
Estefania Hernandez and
Vale Mozas fell 6-2 at No. 3 doubles.
On the singles side,
Anna Soteras dropped a tough 6-4, 0-6, 7-10 three-set decision at No. 4 singles.
Neus Ramos lost a tough 6-7, 4-6 decision at No. 3 singles.
Vale Mozas fell 2-6, 5-7 at No. 6 singles.
The Lakers will be back on the courts next week on the road when they travel to Tiffin, Ohio to face Tiffin on Friday, February 9
th at 11:00 AM. GVSU will close the weekend at Findlay on Saturday (Feb. 10) at 12:00 PM.
