No.5 Women's Wrestling Came Up Short in a Head to Head Dual Against No.2 North Central

Naperville, Ill.- The No.5 Lakers fell short in a head to head dual against No.2 North Central with a score of 26-17. Four Lakers added a win underneath their belt after tonight's match up.

(110) #1 Sage Mortimer (GV) won by decision over #6 Kendra Ryan (NCC) (Dec 9-2)

(124) #1 Amani Jones (NCC) won over #4 Aspen Blasko in a decision. (Dec 10-6)

(131) #2 Sara Sterner (NCC) tech fall over #20 Hannah Palise (GV). (TF 11-0)

(138) #2 Katerina Lange (GV) fall over #7 Emma Grimm (NCC) (Fall 1:00)

(145) #4 Bella Mir (GV) tech fall over #8 Elleni Johnson (NCC) (TF 10-0)

(160) #10 Tiera Jimerson (NCC) fall over #17 Clairssa Agostini (GV) (Fall 2:25)

(207) Caroline Ward (NCC) won by decision over Aaliyah Grandberry (GV) (Dec 3-0)

"I'm proud of the way we competed. North Central is a very talented team and found a way to get it done." stated Head Coach Short. "Unfortunately we weren't at full strength but I love the way we battled. We continue to get better every time we step on the mat. Grand Valley will continue to climb." added Short.
