#4 Grand Valley State was selected as the #2 seed in Super Region 3 and will host #7 Indianapolis Saturday, November 23 at Lubbers Stadium it was announced by the NCAA Sunday night. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. GVSU posted a record of 10-1, while the Greyhounds also tallied a 10-1 mark and won the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Grand Valley State will be making its 24th NCAA Playoff appearance all-time, compiling a record of 39-18 with four National Championships. Since 2001, GVSU is 39-13 in 18 playoff appearances. The 2024 Laker senior class is making its fourth NCAA Playoff appearance and has produced an overall record of 43-6.

Saturday's meeting with Indianapolis will be the 25th all-time between the Lakers and Greyhounds, but the first 2018, a 31-7 GVSU win at Lubbers Stadium. This will be the first meeting between the schools in NCAA football playoff action. GVSU holds a 21-3 all-time series advantage, including an 11-1 record at Lubbers Stadium.   
  
The 2024 DII football championship, which consists of 28 teams in a single-elimination bracket, will begin with first-round games at campus sites on Saturday, Nov. 23. 

The first round will feature 24 teams, with the top seed in each super region receiving a bye. The semifinal teams will also be re-seeded. The tournament concludes with the championship game on Dec. 21 in McKinney, Texas.
