Hannah Beatus tossed a pair of complete games this past week, downing Purdue Northwest in seven innings and shutting out Parkside in five innings.

Beatus racked up 20 strikeouts this past week in 12 innings of work. She allowed three total runs on eight combined hits. Beatus was also a perfect 4-for-4 from the field.

The weekly honor is her seventh on the season and her fourth GLIAC Pitcher of the Week award in a row.

Beatus is third in the nation, holding a 0.63 ERA on the season. She wrapped up the regular season with 146 strikeouts, a mark that leads the GLIAC and is 54th nationally. The senior pitcher racked up 20 wins during the regular season, which is 15th-most in Division II.

Beatus and the Lakers turn their attention to the GLIAC Tournament. Top-seeded GVSU is set to take on sixth-seeded Parkside at Noon on Thursday to kick off four days of competition at the Parkway Bank Sports Complex in Rosemont, Illinois.
