DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Grand Valley State women's tennis team fell 5-2 at Embry-Riddle Monday (March 6) in Dayton Beach, FL. The Lakers drop to 6-3 on the season.
 
Embry-Riddle claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. Estefania Hernandez and Rachel Sam claimed a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles for their sixth win as a doubles pair this season. 
 
On the singles side, Anna Soteras tallied a 6-2, 6-1 straight set win at No. 4 singles. Amanda Diaz earned a 6-2, 6-3 straight set win at No. 6 singles. The Lakers will return to the courts on Thursday (March 9) when they travel to Saint Leo, FL for a dual match against Saint Leo at 3:00 PM.
