Box Score MIDLAND, Mich. - The Grand Valley State men's tennis team fell to Wayne State in the GLIAC Tournament Championship match 4-2 Sunday (May 1) at Greater Midland Tennis Center. The Lakers fall to 16-5 on the season and will wait to hear their seeding in the NCAA Regional Tournament. The selection show for the NCAA Tournament will be on Tuesday (May 3) at 8:00 PM. 

Wayne State claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Sebastian Arce dropped a tough 6-2 decision at No. 2 doubles, while Jack Dausman and Sean Miller lost a tough 6-2 decision at No. 3 doubles. On the singles side, Sean Miller claimed a 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 4 singles. Ignacio Morera-Lucas dropped a tough 7-5, 6-1 decision at No. 6 singles. Freddy Cossio lost a tough 6-3, 6-3 decision at No. 5 singles, while Sebastian Arce dropped a tough 6-4, 6-2 decision at No. 2 singles.
