Box Score MIDLAND, Mich. – The Grand Valley State women's tennis team advanced to the GLIAC Tournament Semifinals after defeating Michigan Tech in the quarterfinals Friday (April 29) at Greater Midland Tennis Center. The Lakers will face Wayne State in the semifinals tomorrow after the completion of the first semifinals that begins at 3:00 PM.
 
GVSU claimed the doubles points with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. No. 1 doubles was not played because the Lakers already claimed the point with the two wins. Vera and Vasileia Griva claimed a dominant 6-0 at No. 2 doubles. Taylor Barrett and Estefania Hernandez tallied a 6-4 win at No. 3 doubles. On the singles,. Marija Leko tallied a 5-0, retired win at No. 2 singles, while Vasileia Griva added a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles. Marily Canellopoulos claimed a 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 at No. 6 singles.
