Box Score MIDLAND, Mich. – The Grand Valley State men's tennis team defeated Lake Superior State in the GLIAC Tournament Quarterfinals 4-0 Friday (April 29) at Greater Midland Tennis Center. The Lakers advance to the GLIAC semifinals and will face Ferris State tomorrow after the first semifinal match that begins at noon. 
 
GVSU won at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to claim the doubles point. Sebastian Arce and Freddy Cossio tallied a 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles, while Jack Dausman and Sean Miller added a 6-4 win at No. 3 doubles. On the singles side, Josep Canyadell claimed a 6-1, 6-0 straight set win at No. 1 singles. Sebastian Arce tallied a 6-0, 6-4 straight set win at No. 2 singles, while Tomas Oliveira added a 6-1, 6-2 straight set win at No. 3 singles.
