THE SERIES
Grand Valley State leads the all-time series by a 30-4 margin. The Lakers defeated Michigan Tech twice in 2021 and have won six consecutive games in the series. GVSU is 25-2 versus the Huskies since 1985. The Lakers have scored 40 or more points 11 times in the last 18 games and 18 times overall versus the Huskies.
LAST WEEK
Grand Valley State claimed a 56-3 GLIAC win at Lubbers Stadium versus Northern Michigan. The Laker defense limited the Wildcats to 146 yards of total offense, 18 rushing yards and seven first downs. GVSU tallied 478 yards of total offense, including 268 rushing yards and five TDs.Â
• Grand Valley State has now been ranked #1 in the country for 89 weeks, which is 29 more than any other Division II team in the country. The Lakers are 82-6 as the top-ranked team in the country.Â
