Box Score The #3-seeded Grand Valley State women's tennis team tallied a 4-1 win over #2-seeded Wayne State Saturday (April 24) afternoon at the Midland Tennis Center. The Lakers now advance to the GLIAC Championship match set for 2:30 p.m. Sunday (April 25) versus Ferris State. 

The Lakers claimed the doubles point to open the match, winning two of the positions. Vera Griva and Taylor Barrett claimed a 6-4 win at No. 2, while Vasileia Griva and Liv Hanover pulled out a 6-4 win at No. 3 doubles. GVSU won three matches in singles action at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5. Taylor Barrett picked up a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 2, followed by a three-set win (4-6, 6-1, 7-5) from Marija Leko at No. 3. Vasileia Griva won a 6-0, 6-4 match at No. 5 singles to clinch the win.
