Box Score Grand Valley State dropped a 4-3 marathon match at Lake Superior State Saturday (April 17) in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. GVSU, now 8-9 overall and 6-2 in GLIAC action, will await the final seeding for its opponent in first-round action at the GLIAC Tournament.
Grand Valley State dropped the doubles point with LSSU winning all three positions by identical 6-3 scores. GVSU and Lake Superior State split the singles matches, LSSU winning 1-3 and GVSU winning 4-6.
Tomas Oliveira won a 4-6, 6-0, 5-3 (retirement) match at No. 4 singles, followed by
Sebastian Arce claiming a 6-7, 6-0, 10-4 win at No. 5 and
Ignacio Morera-Lucas recording a 7-6, 6-3 win at No. 6 singles. GVSU's
Martin Matov dropped a 2-6, 0-6 decision at No. 1,
Sean Miller fell 3-6, 6-1, 4-6 at No. 2 and
Freddy Cossio lost a 2-6, 4-6 point at No. 3 singles.
