Grand Valley State dropped a 3-0 (25-23, 25-20, 25-21) decision to Michigan Tech Friday (Mar. 26) in the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena. GVSU (8-3) will host Michigan Tech (8-1) Saturday at 4 p.m. Catch the action on GVSN or via Live Stats. 

The Lakers and Huskies played tight volleyball through the 20-point mark of each set, however, the Huskies scored the key points in each game to pull out the victory. MTU outhit the Lakers .189-.121 and held a 50-34 advantage in kills. The Lakers did hold a 14-6 advantage in blocks, but defensively Michigan Tech outdistanced GVSU in digs 84-66. 

Karlie Kucharczk led GVSU in kills with 10, followed by Ali Thompson (6), Sarah Wight (6) and Jaelianna Primus (6). Erin O'Leary dished out 16 assists and Rachel Jacquay added 11 helpers. Abbey Graham led the defense with 17 digs and Kucharczyk added 15 digs. Prius chipped in five blocks and Kucharczyk four.
