The Grand Valley State volleyball team completed the weekend sweep over Ashland Saturday (Mar. 20) with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-21) GLIAC win. GVSU, which improves to 8-2 overall, will host Michigan Tech March 26th and 27th at the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena.
The Lakers used a balanced attack offensively with a season-low 12 attack errors. GVSU hit .266 with 45 kills, 15 blocks and 63 digs.
Sarah Wight tallied a team-high nine kills and hit .350, while
Ali Thompson and
Abby Graham each collected eight kills. In addition,
Jayla Wesley and
Jaelianna Primus notched seven kills each and combined for nine blocks. Graham and
Karlie Kucharczyk led the defense with 15 digs each, followed by Thompson with 14 digs.
Rachel Jacquay collected 23 assists and 11 digs, followed by
Erin O'Leary with 13 assists and two block assists.
