Box Score The Grand Valley State women's tennis team improved to 5-2 on the year with a 4-3 win over Hillsdale College Monday (Mar. 15) at Grand Rapids Racquet & Fitness. The Lakers will return to action Friday (Mar. 19) versus GLIAC foe Ashland at Grand Rapids Racquet and Fitness.

GVSU claimed the doubles point by taking all three matches. Marily Canellopoulos and Marija Leko claimed a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles, while Vera Griva and Taylor Barrett also won by a 6-3 score at No. 2. Vasileia Griva and Liv Hanover turned in a 6-4 win at No. 3 doubles. 

The Lakers and Chargers split action in singles play. Vera Griva claimed 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 1 singles and Barrett took No. 2 singles by a 7-6, 6-0 margin. Vasileia Griva sealed the team win with a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 4 singles. Leko adn Liv Hanover both dropped three-set affairs at No. 3 and No. 5 singles, respectively.
