Box Score The #19 Grand Valley State women's tennis team claimed a 6-1 victory over #11 Indiana Wesleyan Friday (Mar. 12). The Lakers will next be in action Monday (Mar. 15) versus Hillsdale at Grand Rapids Racquet & Fitness, before opening GLIAC play Friday (Mar. 19) versus Ashland. 

GVSU trailed 1-0 after dropping all three matches in doubles play. However, the Lakers regrouped and dominated singles action with six straight wins, including straight set wins in five of six slots. Vera Griva claimed a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles, Taylor Barrett won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 singles and Marija Leko claimed a tough, three-set win at No. 3 singles (3-6, 6-4, 10-6). Vasileia Griva claimed a 7-5, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles, followed by Liv Hanover winning a 6-3, 6-1 match at No. 5 and Olivia Huang closing the match with a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles.
