ALLENDALE, Mich. – The No. 22 Grand Valley State Lakers fell, 68-63, to Southern Indiana Monday (Dec. 20) night at the Fieldhouse Arena. The Lakers fall to 8-2 on the season while the Screaming Eagles improve to 6-2 on the campaign.
Christian Negron led the Lakers with 18 points, four steals and a block despite foul trouble limiting him to just five first-half minutes.
Jake Van Tubbergen scored six points and had five rebounds despite just 18 minutes due to foul trouble of his own. The scoring was enough to move Van Tubbergen into fourth place all-time in GVSU history for career points, passing Jason Jamerson.
