The Grand Valley State men's and women's tennis teams swept non-conference duals Sunday morning at Premier Athletic & Tennis Club. The Laker women improved to 14-3 with a 7-0 win, while the men improved to 4-1 with a 6-1 decision. Both teams will return to action in Florida during their spring trip.
Women
 The Lakers swept singles action, three matches in straight sets and three in three-set affairs. Sophomore
Vera Griva claimed a 6-2, 6-1 win at #1 singles, followed by a 6-0, 6-3 win by freshman
Taylor Barrett at #2 singles. Freshman
Olivia Huang won tallied a 6-0, 6-2 win at #6 singles. Sophomore
Marija Leko (5-7, 6-4, 7-5), junior sophomore
Marily Canellopoulos (6-0, 4-6, 6-3) and junior
Liv Hanover 5-7, 6-2, 6-2) each won a three-set matches at #3, #4 and #5 singles.Â
In doubles action, Griva/Barrett claimed a 6-4 win, while Canellopoulos/Leko won 6-0 and Hanover/Huang tallied a 6-2 win.Â
Men
Grand Valley State won a closely contested dual with Walsh, claiming the doubles point and winning five singles matches. Senior
Jack Geissler dropped a 6-3, 6-0 decision, but the Lakers swept three singles slots and won two three-set affairs. Sophomore
Jack Dausman won a 6-0, 6-7, 6-3 decision at #2 singles, followed by a 6-3, 6-4 win at #3 singles by sophomore Matin Matov. Freshman
Sean Miller claimed a 6-2, 6-2 win at #4 singles, Freshman
Ignacio Morera-Lucas won a 6-3, 6-2 decision at #5 singles and junior
DJ Colantone claimed a 6-2, 5-7,, 10-6 victory at #6 singles.Â
Matov/Dausman claimed a 6-3 win at #1 doubles and Morera-Lucas/Geissler tallied a 6-3 win at #3 doubles. Â
