The Grand Valley State men's Tennis team claimed a 4-1 victory over Illinois-Springfield Saturday evening at the Premier Athletic & Tennis Club. The Lakers improve to 3-1 on the year and will host Walsh at 8 a.m. at Premier Athletic & Tennis Club Sunday (Feb. 16).

The Lakers claimed the doubles point with wins by Martin Matov/Jack Dausman (6-2) at #1 and Jack Geissler/Ignacio Morera-Lucas (6-2) at #2 doubles. Straight set wins by Geissler (6-3, 6-1), Matov (6-3, 6-4) and Miller (6-0, 6-1) at #2, #3 and #4 singles action clinched the match. Dausman fell in three sets (2-6, 6-4, 3-6) at #1 singles and the number five and six singles positions were unfinished.
