The Grand Valley State women's tennis team claimed a 6-1 victory over Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rival Northwood in their home opener on Saturday.
Vera Griva,
Marija Leko,
Marily Canellopoulos,
Taylor Barrett and
Liv Hanover all recorded single match wins over Northwood in two sets.
Agata Szewczuk won the first set before dropping the final two.
Each Laker doubles pair was victorious against the Timberwolves as Canellopoulos and Griva, Leko and Barrett and Szewczuk and Hanover all recorded dominant wins.
Grand Valley will take on Saginaw Valley State tomorrow (Sept. 15) at 10 a.m. at home.
