GVSU Falls To #13 Indianapolis

GREENWOOD, Ind. - #47 Grand Valley State fell to #13 Indianapolis on Saturday (3/25) by a score of 6-3. The loss drops the Lakers to 18-7 on the year with three matches remaining in the regular season. 

GVSU was only able to grab one out of the three matches played in doubles competition. Out of the No. 2 spot, the duo of Alexa Sweeney and Aimee Moccia were able to defeat Bella Bergman and Mara Hofstetter by a score fo 8-3. 

The Lakers didn't see much success coming out of the singles portion of the competition. Grand Valley was only able to nab two out of the six matches that were played. Moccia won her match out of the No. 4 spot against Bergman by a score of 7-5, 7-6 (7-1). Also winning their match was sophomore Livia Christman as she took down Hofstetter out of the No. 5 spot by a score of 6-3, 6-2. 

The Lakers will be back in action against the Wildcats of Indiana Wesleyan on Thursday, March 30.
