ORLANDO – As their Spring Break trip draws nearer to its conclusion,#28 Grand Valley State picked up a 9-0 victory over Alderson Broaddus in Orlando this afternoon, bringing their record to 18-3 on the season.

The Lakers would only give up three points total in the doubles matches.

Calla Ramont kept their opponent scoreless in the No. 3 match, while
Madison Ballard/
Alexa Sweeney won match one 8-1 and
Abby Perkins/
Livia Christman won match No. 2 8-2.

Singles play was just as dominating for GVSU, as the women only gave up seven total points in all matches.
Katarina Samardzija, Ramont and
Courtney Lang all shutout their opponents in the fourth, fifth and sixth matches, respectively, while
Samantha Schrepferman won match one 6-2, 6-2,
Rachel Sumner took match No. 2 6-1, 6-0, and Heiniger won 6-1, 6-1 in match three.

The Lakers conclude their week of games in Florida with a doubleheader on Friday (Mar. 11). Grand Valley State will take on University of the Sciences at 8:15 am before matching up with Lynn at 3 pm.
