GVSU Falls To Tiffin On The Road

TIFFIN, Ohio - The Grand Valley State women's tennis team suffered their second loss of the season after falling to Tiffin by a score of 6-3. The Lakers now sport a record of 5-2 on the season. 

The Lakers stuggled in both singles and doubles competition, losing four out of the six singles matches and two out of the three doubles matches. Getting the two wins in singles were Livia Christman and Nicole Heiniger in the No. 5 and 6 spots, respectively. Christman won a hard fought match against Aimee Kaye, winning by a score of 6-1, 5-7, 13-11. Heiniger won more easily, defeating Rachelmary Brozovich by a score of 6-2, 6-3. 

The lone doubles win came courtesy of Abby Perkins and Christman. The duo downed Bianca Avram and Brozovich by a score of 6-2, 6-3. 

The Lakers will be back in action on tomorrow (Oct. 9) in a dual match against Findlay starting at 10 A.M.
