Grand Valley State will hit the road for an NCAA Super Region 4 matchup at Colorado State-Pueblo Saturday (Dec. 5) at 2 p.m. ET. The game will be televised live on Comcast 900 with Tom Cleary and Bob Mitchell calling the action. In addition, you can listen live on the flagship station ESPN 96.1 or any of the 15 affiliate stations that carry Laker football.

The Series
Grand Valley State won the only meeting between the two schools by a 34-30 score in a second-round playoff game in 2013. CSP jumped out to a 16-0 first quarter lead, but 21 second quarter points gave the Lakers a 27-23 halftime lead. The Lakers scored the game-winning TD late in the third quarter and held on for the win.

• Grand Valley State is making its 17th trip to the NCAA DII Playoffs, the third highest total among active DII schools. In addition, GVSU's 33 wins and .730 winning percentrage both rank second all-time in DII playoff history. GVSU is 33-11 all-time in the NCAA DII playoffs, including a 33-6 mark since 2001...GVSU is 6-2 in the NCAA playoffs under Mitchell and 5-1 since 2013...The Lakers have won four NCAA DII National Championships since 2002 and advanced to the NCAA title game six times since 2001...GVSU has advanced to at least the semifinals eight times since 2001. • Grand Valley State came out on top of this regional semifinal affair by a 38-34 margin. GVSU scored first and last, with the winning TD coming with just over eight minutes left in the game. GVSU forced a turnover and got a fourth down stop at midfield with a minute left in the game. Bart Williams completed 20-of-34 passes for 335 yards and four TDs. Matt Williams caught five passes for 126 yards and two TDs, while Urston Smith pulled down four passes for 108 yards and a TD. LB David Talley led the defense with 15 tackles, while Matt Judon chipped in 12 stops and two TFL.
