Three Laker defensive linemen tallied All-GLIAC plaudits during the campaign.

Bibbs mentored four defensive linemen that earned All-GLIAC honors in 2018. The Laker defensive line combined for 51 tackles for loss and 19.5 QB sacks a year ago and played a key role in the GVSU defense ranking in the top 20 of several team categories nationally.

Prior to his arrival at Grand Valley State Bibbs spent two years as the defensive line coach at Northern State (N.D.). He began his career as a student-assistant for the Wolves in the spring of 2015, working specifically with the defensive line. He then went on to St. Cloud State where he was the outside linebackers coach for the Huskies. In his two seasons with SCSU, four outside linebackers were named to the NSIC All-Conference team, including two first-team honorees in 2015.

Off the field, Bibbs was the head compliance and admissions liaison for the program. He also served as the Assistant Academic Director for Athletes for Success in the Classroom from April of 2016 to May of 2017. Bibbs helped provide student-athletes with tutoring services, study-skills development, and test-taking strategies.

He was a three-year starter for the Wolves on the defensive line, appearing in 39 games in his career with 33 starts. He recorded 64 total tackles, including a career high of 23 in the fall of 2012. The Phoenix native, added seven tackles for a total loss of 23 yards including four sacks as well as five blocked PAT/FG attempts. In his senior season, the Wolves went 8-3 overall and 6-1 in the NSIC North recording the most wins since 1999 as Bibbs was named to the NSIC All-Conference honorable mention team. Bibbs was also selected as a team captain for the Wolves in 2014, which is the highest honor given within the program.
