Jordan Keur

Jordan Keur is set for his second year as head coach of the Grand Valley State baseball program. He was announced the eighth head coach in Grand Valley State history on June 14, 2023. Keur most recently spent the last two years as the assistant coach/recruiting coordinator at Western Michigan.

Keur guided the Lakers to a 30-25 record his first year, including the 2024 GLIAC Tournament Championship and an appearance in the 2024 NCAA DII Baseball Tournament, the programs first appearance since 2016. The Lakers finished 18-12 in GLIAC action and went 4-0 in the GLIAC Tournament to earn the NCAA Tournament berth. The GLIAC Tournament Championship was the Lakers' first since 2016.

Keur was hired as an assistant coach at WMU in 2021 and took on the additional responsibility of being recruiting coordinator in the summer of 2022. Keur played a key role in the Broncos going 11-5 to end the 2023 regular season and advancing to the Mid-American Conference Tournament for the first time since 2017. All-MAC performers Cade Sullivan and Jimmy Allen led the WMU offense under the direction of Keur. In his first season the Broncos set a single-season program record with 131 doubles. Dylan Nevar was named the MAC Freshman of the Year and a Freshman All-American, while Connor Charping earned his second straight First Team All-MAC selection. Cade Sullivan was picked for both the All-MAC Second Team and the All-MAC Defensive Team. Nevar and Sullivan became the first two Bronco teammates to hit double-digit homers in the same season since 2001.

Prior to joining the Broncos, Keur was the head coach at Lansing Community College for three years. He guided the Stars to a 47-3 record and berth in the NJCAA Region XII Baseball Championship Series after finishing the season ranked No. 1 in the nation in 2021. His first LCC squad in 2019 went 36-9 and ranked seventh nationally among NJCAA Division II teams. His teams that played full seasons in 2019 and 2021 own the top two winning percentages in school history. Keur was voted conference coach of the year in both 2019 and 2021, while also collecting regional coach of the year honors in 2021.

Prior to his time at LCC, he spent four seasons at Michigan State, where he helped the Spartans set a school record for stolen bases in 2018 (100), a mark which led the Big Ten and ranked 10th nationally. Keur spent one season as an assistant at Eastern Michigan before moving to Michigan State.

As a player, Keur started 150 games for Michigan State and was a four-year letterwinner. Jordan was a .315 career hitter who guided the Spartans to an overall record of 140-80 during his career. He was an All-Big Ten honoree as a junior as he led MSU to an NCAA Regional berth, while leading the team in batting (.353), hits (89) and multi-hit games (31). In addition, Michigan State captured the 2011 Big 10 Championship when Keur was a sophomore.

A native of Hudsonville, Keur graduated from Michigan State with a degree in advertising and played professionally for the Washington Wild Things in the independent Frontier League.
Keur and his wife, Jamie, are the proud parents of son, Hayden.
