Prior to GVSU:
Attended South Suburban Community College, playing for head coach Steve Ruzich...Hit .409 with 21 doubles, five home runs to go along with a 4.20 ERA and 9 saves as a sophomore...Team captured back-to-back regional titles...Advanced to the World Series where the team finished ninth in the nation...Played with current Laker Jeff Carrero as a freshman.

High School:
Prepped at Carl Sandburg High School under head coach Doug Sutor...Was an all-SICA Blue selection...Earned all-area and honorable mention all-state...Team captain as a senior...Hit .421 with nine home runs as a senior...Posted a 2.93 ERA and a 5-2 record...Team advanced to the elite eight in the state tournament as a junior and captured the state title in his sophomore campaign...Also participated in football and basketball.
